The Commission offers a range of inspiring career opportunities for those interested in economic development and the Appalachian Region—including positions in grant management, communications, finance, human resources, technology, and other areas.

How often does ARC update its job listings?
We post positions as they become available and remove postings when we are no longer seeking candidates for a position. Some positions may include a closing date; in that case we will not consider applications received after the stated closing date.

How can I confirm that I applied successfully?
You will receive an automated email reply to let you know we have received your submission.

What happens after I submit my information?
Once your information is received, it will be reviewed by the recruiter and/or the hiring manager with the vacancy. You will only hear from Human Resources or the hiring manager if we have questions or are interested in a phone screen or in-person interview. Due to the high volume of resumes we receive, it is not possible to respond individually to all applicants. The length of the recruitment process varies, but typically takes approximately four to eight weeks.
